Angela's Top Ten Book Boyfriends

Here I give you my top ten picks of my favorite fictional guys aka the hardest list I've ever had to make. Yall know we love any and everything to do with fictional book boyfriends. So we decided to comply a list of our favorites and then put them in order... Some people might have read that first sentence and thought I seemed a little nutty for saying this was difficult, but for true die hard book lovers you will completely understand why this task was so daunting.

My list consist of a lot of Jennifer Armentrout, Sarah J. Maas, and Colleen Hoover men... what can I say those ladies sure know their guys. Complete shocker on who my number one was right?!?! Yeah, I'm just kidding. How could I not pick Miles Archer. Not only is Colleen Hoover one of my favorite authors, Ugly Love also happens to be my favorite book, so it's only fitting that it house my favorite man. All the fellas on this list have a lot of things in common. They're strong, supportive, witty, charming, and more. BUT none of them ever come close to giving me as characters what Miles Archer gave me, and that was shock. No character has ever surprised me quite like he has. He went from this mystery, handsome, non romantic too this super deep super touching character that I just didn't see coming. Yes Warner does come close, but Miles still manages to pull ahead because he also manages to be a very believable character. The moment you meet him you hate him. However, much like things go in the real world once you start getting a person's back-story you start to see them in a new light. The more we got into his story the more I started to fall for him. By the end of the book every heart string I had had been pulled because of his character. He goes from being just this pretty face (looks like he was sent down from the heavens might I add) to being someone you find yourself rooting for and heart breaking over. Though there might be other guys on this list I would have been completely fine with making Miles Archer my numbers 1-10. With 2016 slowly creeping up on us meaning the Ugly Love movie will be here before we know it! Which mean there will be a face to put the the Archer name... And I don't know if I've ever mention this but the face they've casted just happens to be my number one celebrity crush... So yeah basically once this movies over I can die happy.

 

 

Annnnnnnnd I just got pregnant! Whoosh... Ladies and gents I rest my case.

Since we had such a hard time narrowing everyone down I do wanna mention three that didn't quite crack the top ten and those are... Trey from The Kricket Series, Kaden from The Remnant Chronicles, and Ansel from Sweet Filthy Thing.

Revisiting a book The Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Sigh, so I have been feeling the book blues. I felt like all this month I have been in a reading funk. I don't know what's up but hopefully I can shake it off soon and get back into the swing of things.... Anyways, people always say that when you're in a reading rut that you should take a step back and pick up a book you've read before and loved. So this month I decided that my re-visiting of a book would be the book that I still too this date say is my favorite series ever. I read this series some time ago and recently I've been wondering if I re-read this book if I would still think it was my all time favorite (completed) series.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. Katy and him do not get along. But when a stranger attacks her and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand something unexpected happens.

Thinking about it and being in my slump had me picking up this series again. This week I took the time to re-read all 5 books. I also decided to do something a little different with the review as well...I decide to review this series as a whole. This is something I wouldn't do but in this case I felt it was necessary. I wont be giving out any spoilers I'll just be touching down on some bases about how I feel about this series as a whole. As I said above The Lux Series is a completed series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, with the fifth and final book coming out last year. The series is made up of Obsidian, Onyx, Opal, Origin, and Opposition. 

I CANT EVEN START TO EXPLAIN HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! LIKE HOLY ALIEN BABIES EVERYWHERE MY MIND HAS AGAIN BEEN BLOWN AND MY HEART HAS REMAINED TAKEN!

Everyone and their mom knows I'm more than a little obsessed with aliens so when it comes to books about them I am very very picky. So when I was first shown this book I wasn't really looking forward to reading them. With their cheesy old school romance covers... I just couldn't! BUT I finally decided to say "Screw it" and pick them up. Thank god I did that and this time. The Lux Series is still my all time favorite (completed) series. Even though the first book is like alien twilight I didn't even care. I prefer aliens to vampires anyways. I think this is one of the first series that gets better with each books. Each one I read outshines the last. I normally find myself saying how much I like the first book more than the third or the second one didn't match up well with the last, etc. etc. This wasn't an issue with this series, I repeat, each book is better than the last! (Opal and Origin are tied for my personal favorite because THOSE ENDING!!!!!! OMG!!!!! NO SERIOUSLY, CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE ENDING OF ORIGIN?!>!!?!$%^#%^$% LIKE WHAT!)

Not only is this one of my favorite series, it holds one of my all time favorite book couples... Katy Schwartz and Daemon Black. And lets just get down to brass tax... Daemon Black steals the show in every book. GOOD GOD DO I LOVE THAT SEXY ALIEN! His cocky over the top attitude never let me down. I love his love for life, family, and his lady. I liked that he was seriously the biggest dick on this and any other planet. Katy is a girl who refuses to be in the background. Her constant need to take Daemon down a few pegs, made me constantly want to high five her. But I like everyone else who has read this series, am in love with the romance. I love it! Sigh, it was just perfect.

 “So I was thinking, they're eighty-six thousand, four hundred seconds in a day, right? They're one thousand, four hundred and forty minutes in a day...They're one hundred and sixty-eight hours in a week. Around eighty-seven hundred and then some hours in a year, and you know what?...I want to spend every second, every minute, every hour with you...I want a year's worth of seconds and minutes with you. I want a decade's worth of hours, so many that I can't add them up.”

(TAKE ME AWAY!!!! BEAM ME UP HOTTIE!!!!)

This story also holds so many amazing second characters. As far as those went Luc and Archer are my favorites. (Leah, I know you're reading this and shaking your head and making fun of me BUT YOU KNOW I LOVE SUB CHARACTERS! AND HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE LUC!!! That little lunchable eating son of a gun).

Normally when a series is this action packed it would come off as trying to hard, NOPE Jennifer Armentrout made it seem effortless... These books are seriously the definition of "a page turner". Each book left you wanting more. Even the last one had me wishing there was just one more! She gets sarcasm and romance on a level that a lot of ya authors just don't get... like holy hot alien scenes!!! (I heard a little rumor that Jla is writing a new book that will extent on the Lux Series!!! Someone please tell me if this is true?!!! Because I just might die.)

These books had me laughing, crying, screaming, and wanting to flip over tables with excitement. The characters are amazing, well built, hilarious, and just over all lovely! Re-reading this series wasn't a mistake. I'm 100% sure that Jennifer Armentrout wrote this series for me, I mean aliens, romance, and witty comebacks will forever be the key to my heart and Jennifer Armentrout owns that key. The only sad part about re-reading it was having to realize all over again that it's over. That there is no more Daemon Black in store. No more sweet alien invasions. No more amazing plot twist. For that I am not thankful, but for having read these I am. Jennifer L. Armentout still remains one of the few authors I will drop everything I'm doing/reading to pick up anything she writes.

 I was a half-blood, but I was also the Apollyon, a child of a pure and a half, a union that had been forbidden for thousands of years because an Apollyon was more powerful than any pure or half could ever hope to be.

Our society existed completely unknown to the average mortal and had operated under what was known as the Breed Order for thousands of years. The Order had been dismantled, which meant halfs were no longer forced to choose between becoming Sentinels—hunting down violent creatures, protecting pures, enforcing laws, and otherwise usually dying pretty damn quickly on the job—or servants, which was a job that really wasn’t a job, but more like slavery. Since then, many pampered pures had signed on to be Sentinels, making up for the loss of the halfs who’d pretty much said “screw this shit, I’m out.”

This wasn’t necessarily a good thing.

For example, the dumbass puking all over my blood-covered floor was a pure. When he straightened, his face a greenish hue, he backed away, shaking his head. “I can’t,” he gasped out. “I can’t do this.”

December has been a really good book month for me! It's nice that I was able to find good reads this month since I had been coming down from a hardcore slump. The only bad thing about this month (and by bad, I only mean in the reading sense) is the holidays! I have been jam packed since Thanksgiving and haven't had a ton of time to devote to reading. As much as I have enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, I am looking forward to after the first of the year when my social obligations go away and I can go back to being a hermit.

One cool thing I signed up for this month is the Fandom of the Month club that I found on Instagram. You play $13 a month and you get sent fandom inspired jewelry each month. For December, the theme was Narnia so I received a bracelet, earrings, a ring, and a really cool bag to put it all in. (This isn't a sponsored post, btw, just wanting to share something cool I found!) 

Speaking of the new year, I can't wait for y'all to see what we have planned! We have some really cool posts leading up to 2015, and we have a TON of things planned for 2015. All I am going to say is that 2015 is going to be the year of the fandom for sure.

My favorite book this month was hands down, no contest Wicked by Jennifer Armentrout. This book is my absolute favorite JLA book so far which should say a TON. I love all of the characters, but my favorites are Ren an Tink. Ren is at the top of my book boyfriend list now. HOT HOT HOT. Tink, well, you just need to read the book to learn about Tink. I just love him!

I'm pretty sure I start off every review for a book that Jla writes by saying something along the lines of this... JLA HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!! Another amazing novel. This lady can write anything. Contemporary, paranormal romance, NA lit, anything. If she published her target shopping list I would read it because I know she would make it amazing. Wicked was so wicked!!! Too me it was like the polar opposite of her Dark Elements series and I loved that (I love The Dark Elements)!I just loved that it was so different.

Wicked is a paranormal new adult and a first in The Wicked Trilogy. Pretty sure at one point I told Leah I thought I just got pregnant reading this. Whoosh it was so hot! It wasn't just the steamy scenes that made this book. It was everything. The world building, plot, flow, and the characters. Ivy is funny, strong, and awkward. The things that go on in her head are hilarious. Ren is so upfront, charming, and wickedly hot. The relationship between Ren and Ivy is almost insta-love but falls closer to insta-lust. Which I think is a good thing. The things they say to each other (mainly Ren) is so so yummy. 

"um, yeah. I do. Baking... is like a hobby." Okay that was a total lie. The only cakes I could bake came out of the box. It was Tink who baked the cakes from scratch. "And why haven't I been offered any cake?"..."You're going to have to get to know me better before you taste my cake."... "Was that an invitation? Because I'm willing to get to know you in any way possible if that means I get to taste your cake." "Invitation for....?" Oh my God. My words replayed. My face turned crimson. "You are such a pervert!"

I really enjoyed Ren as a character so much. He is seriously like the sweet caring version of Roth from TDE. They even both ride motorcycles. He also knows Disney movies. For some odd reason men knowing Disney movies is hot. Hell, Jla seriously can make anything hot. She did some job on Ren. Kid you not this was me 99.9% of the time he was involved...

He was the perfect leading man. Romantic and Take charge. One of my favorite things however is how Ivy is described. She's a curvy frizzy haired ginger. Loved it! The romantic scenes between the two of them are written perfectly. Saying they were hot would be an understatement. I was reading this at work and had to stop because I couldn't stop blushing. I can't wait to see what happens between these two crazy kids as the story continues. As for sub characters the main ones are Val and Tink. Val is Ivy's best friend and is a little on the slutty side (no judgement). But my favorite, FAVORITE character is Tink. OMG I love him so much!!!! The one foot-troll doll lovin-pop culture junkie-little brownie stole the show. Everything he says is amazing.  

"Grabbing a scarf off the chair, I threw it at him. He caught it, clutching it to his chest as he flew into the air. "You gave Tink a scarf. Tink is free!" He flew out into the hallway like a little cracked-out fairy, screeching, "Tink is freeeeee!" Ren looked at me. "What the actual fuck?" I sighed. "He's obsessed with Harry Potter. I'm sorry."

  

The Twilight, Dr. Who, Harry Potter, and Salt and Pepa references he threw around killed me. It had been a long time since I had laughed that hard, and at a sub-character too. He took this story too a whole new level. 

"He ignored me. "Sex is best when it's one on one!" Stopping in the hall, I turned to where he was doing a pelvic thrust. "Isn't that a George Michael song?" "Maybe. but he was wrong. I like to think sex is best when it's like three on three or something. Seems more adventurous." Whatever. Goodnight, Tink." I closed the door as he broke out in a Salt-n-Pep a song. 

Every character in this book is so perfect. The plot if fast paced and action packed. There was never a dull moment, or a time I was bored. The plot starts strong and doesn't let up. There are two twist in this story. One was very predictable and one I had no clue was coming. I don't think I've ever updated my GR status so many times before, especially out of pure excitement. Seriously wasn't kidding when I said I needed water. This book was like a sauna!! And the ending. Holy sweet Jesus way to leave us hanging!!! Wicked has to be one of my favorite books and start to a series I've read all year.

Angela pretty much summed everything that I wanted to say perfectly. All I really want to add is how much I really, truly enjoyed this book. It is by far, hands down, no contest my favorite JLA book so far. The plot stays interesting the entire time and you will not be able to put it down. Ren is my ultimate book boyfriend and has not only made a place for himself on the Holy Grail of Book Boyfriends list, but he has taken the #1 spot which was formally held by the (literally) out-of-this-world Daemon. Ren is a beautiful mix of Daemon and my former #2, Roth. I think what really sets him apart from the others is that there isn't a point in the book where he is angsty and has to/wants to push Ivy away. From the very beginning, he knows he wants to be with her and isn't shy about his feelings. He doesn't play games and is upfront with her the entire time.

The plot twist in the book left my jaw and my brains all over the floor. JLA bamboozled me!! She had me CONVINCED absolutely convinced that the story was going to go one way but at the very end (like literally the last page) she drops bombs everywhere and smacked me in the face with her plot twist. IT IS SO GOOD! I don't know how I am going to make it until summer 2015 for the sequel. If you haven't read this book yet........ ORDER IT RIGHT NOW YOU NEED IT IN YOUR LIFE ASAP.

YALLFest Day 2!!!

Yesterday was the second day of Yallfest, and IT WAS AMAZING!!! I (Angela) was off work so Leah, Richard (Leah's husband) and I were all able to go out there together and see everyone!

For those of you that follow us and are from Charleston, out of state, or out of town just to catch you up, YALLFest is a once a year two day YA book festival. It's located in Leah and I's home town of Charleston, SC. It's actually the largest YA book festival in the country. It's hosted by the cutest little local book shop called Blue Bike Books that is located in downtown Charleston. It's spread out over several streets with multiple hours of signings. Along with the signings there are Keynote speakers, a YA smackdown, and several panels you can attend. You can also purchase books, shirts, and get lots of free goodies.

The weather outside is flawless this time of year so it made getting up at 5:30 in the morning so worth it. And that's how we started our early and by rushing around to make sure we got there early. We knew that James Dashner and Veronica Roth were both only seeing select number of fans so we knew we had to plan perfect and....

I'm pretty sure we did the impossible because we were able to see both Veronica Roth and James Dashner! They were both only seeing the first 200 people and we somehow managed to get wristbands and see both of them in like less than two hours!

James Dashner was who we choose to see as our keynote speaker and we're so glad we did! He was super funny, charming, and probably one of the nicest authors we met. His panel was all about how he became and author, what his writing process is, and how he's handling everything now that the movie is out. Being able to get a wristband and meet him was amazing. He took the time to not rush his signings and talked to every single person on a personal level. He also didn't have a one book limit and was willing to take photos with everyone.

 

That was the only downside of seeing Veronica Roth. She was only allowing one book to be signed and no pictures to be taken with her, I mean we get it she's freaking VRoth and people would probably want to take a million pictures, but it was still a little bit of a bummer about the one book thing. The positive side about her "strict" signing was that it went super smooth and we were able to see her, talk for a few moments, and then go to our next signing with no wait time. Just being able to meet both of them was such a pleasure.

The other authors we saw were Sarah J. Maas and Jennifer L. Armentrout.The line for Sarah J. Maas was insane (theres a video on our insta)! Once again we lucked out and got there super early. We were in the first 15 to go in. She was so sweet and also allowed any amount of books to get signed and personalized.

 

  

I will say seeing Jennifer L. Armentrout was the biggest highlight for both of us. She was so funny and sweet. She is our my favorite author and was our #1 must see. I really think she took book signing to a whole new level! She had no limit on how many books you could get signed and she actually asked to take pictures with us. Plus she personalized every book we brought in. I know it might be a little hard to see in pictures but my book seriously says "#TeamRoth cant even stand it :)".

 

Like it's been a full day and I'm still coming down from my fangirl high from seeing her. The fact that she had no limits on books, wanted to take pictures, and did it all with such positive energy just shows why she is the best! She was also signing in a train museum which really made it interesting. We sadly didn't make it out to Marie Lu's line since it was crazy insane and was at the same time as JLA's.

As far as Swag Bags went Leah and I made out with posters, buttons, shirts, bookmarks, and a ton of book samples. The girls from EpicReads were out there hooking people up with posters and totes. Also the folks from TheNovl where hooking everyone waiting in line to see James Dashner with hot coffee and water bottles!

 

Overall our experience at Yallfest was amazing. Everyone, even the people visiting from out of town were so polite, and caring. It was not only amazing seeing the authors, it was amazing talking and meeting new people. We are so excited to go again in 2015! Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Have you ever wanted a chance to start over? To erase all of your memories and start life fresh? That's exactly what happens to Samantha Franco, except her memories begin with her standing on a road covered in blood and dirt. She has no idea who she is or how she got there or what happened. After being taken to a hospital, her identity is finally figured out and her parents show up a few hours later. Too bad she has no idea who her mom and dad are, that they are super rich, that she has a twin brother, she has a boyfriend who she is basically betrothed to, and she and her mean girl friends basically rule their high school. She also has no idea that her best friend's name is Cassie and is missing.

Sam has to rebuild her life with memories other people have with her and share with her. She has to rely on her boyfriend to tell them how in love they are. She has to rely on her friends to tell her how popular she is and how she is the queen bee of the school. She has to rely on her twin brother to tell her everything about herself that her parents don't want to-- how she was an awful person who manipulated and terrorized everyone with her bestie Cassie.

Sam hates her former self. She doesn't understand how she could ever have been so mean to everyone around and treated everyone so bad. She spends most of the book feeling the shame and embarrassment as she tries to make everyone realize that the old Sam is gone, including her brother's super hot friend Carson. Carson is the son of grounds keeper of her family estate. They were childhood friends, but after Sam met Cassie her whole life changed. She dumped her former friends and the person who she could have been and turned into the mean girl that everyone expected her to be.

Now that Sam is a completely different person, how can she maintain her former relationships? She is expected to have a fairy tale relationship with her boyfriend but now finds herself having feelings for someone else. She hates her friends and finds friendship in her twin brother who seems to be one of the only people she can trust. After Cassie's body turns up and the case officially turns into a murder case, Sam is the number one suspect. People whisper at school and even her own parents can't look her in the eye and say she is innocent. But without having any memory from that night, how does Sam know that she didn't actually kill Cassie? Sam finds herself questioning everyone around her and her own sanity. I was really rooting for Sam to figure out what was going on, and I kept getting super frustrated for her when everyone was calling her crazy. Every time I thought I knew what was happening, something new would pop up.

The book has a lot of mystery surrounding it and I felt like I was playing a game of Clue the whole time. I kept thinking EVERYONE was a suspect and felt super suspicious the whole time. There is a big twist at the end, but I guessed it a few chapters before just by picking up on clues. It's a very unique twist and really brings a creepy feel to the book. Even with all the mystery and drama, JLA still gives you a few steamy scenes with a good romance to keep you feeling the feels. The book sort of reminds me of the Mara Dyer series, so if you are a fan of that, then I think you'll enjoy this book.

Like all of JLA's books, the book neatly resolves itself after all the twists and drama so that you have a good ending. I'm very happy with the ending (I was super worried for a while) and think this is an AWESOME standalone book. I was so relieved after reading because it seems like every book I've read lately has been a bust. Once again, JLA proves herself to be my favorite YA author.

Birthday Book Haul

November is my favorite month for many reasons. The weather is FINALLY getting cooler, YALLFest (btw stay tuned for a post on that), and best of all: MY BIRTHDAY! WOOHOO! The best part of birthdays when you get older is most older relatives give you cash which means you can go on a book spending spree! My birthday book haul includes:

-Legend series by Marie Lu (Not pictured. She's one of the authors we are planning on meeting at YALLFest and I only had her books on Nook, so I had to buy them so she can sign them!)

This haul doesn't include the books I already have and also the book I am planning on buying November 4th. Can anyone guess what it is?? THE RETRIBUTION OF MARA FREAKING DYER!! It's finally here! We have all been waiting forever for this book to be out and you better believe I will be at the bookstore as soon as I can to get my copy. No sleep will happen until I find out what happens to my booboo Noah Shaw.

Is there anything Jla can’t do!??? Stone Cold Touch is my new jam! I’ll start off by saying this book is even better than the first. I don’t know how I'm going to make it till June to read the third
one. Also I feel like I should warn you that this review is going to be a mess because I am currently frantically fangirling all over the place. SCT picks up right where book one left off. Roth is still kicking it in the underworld, Layla is still super depressed about it, and Zayne is still be all stony. Jla is the only writer whose love triangles NEVER bother me, and since this book is heavily weighed down with one it's a good thing she's mastered it. SCT does focus more on the relationship between Layla and Zayne, unlike book one where it was all Layla and Roth. I thought this was going to bother me but all it did was tear my heart to pieces by trying to decide whose “side” I wanted to be on. I was seriously texting Leah every ten minutes saying “ok Team Roth… No Team Zayne… Team Roth… No Team Zayne.” After sleeping on it… I know who I choose BUT I won’t let anyone know till book three.... Okay who am I kidding... IT'S ROTH! You’re probably at this point in time thinking the same thing I was thinking “No Roth IDK man”… NO! DON’T LET THAT CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT READING THIS because Zayne steps up his stony sexy game, and there is plenty of hot Roth to go around as well. But enough with the boys we can come back to them later… On to Layla. She starts becoming real B-A in this book. She’s slapping guys in the face with bibles, she's shifting, she’s fighting night crawlers, she's smashing hamburgers… oh and she is starting to figure out “what she is”. Her friendship with Sam and Stacey also has a lot more light on it in this book and I really enjoyed that as well. They're not the only ones friends that come more into play as the book went on as well. Dez and Nic start really shining towards the end. (Rumor is the sub characters like Zayne, Roth, and Layla's friends will play bigger parts in book three, fingers-crossed.) Of course like all of Jennifer’s books there are a lot of steamy scenes, and I'm not mad about it. Here's a tiny list of things Jla's writing has me looking at in a whole new-sexy-mood-light setting: Aliens, cookies, cheese puffs, kittens, glow sticks, Las Vegas, gargoyles, pure bloods, and pens... Whoosh someone bring me some ice tea while I swoon over some flashbacks.
There isn't a lot of world building in this book, which would normally make me rate it lower. However I'm still giving it all the stars because the plot had me pulling my hair out, the characters are amazing, and because of the two twist that come at the end of the book... THAT YOU WILL IN NO WAY SEE COMING!!!! OMG THAT ENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT ENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's that good!

I know this isn't my longest review, but with Leah's following mine I'll leave it at this... If the gates of hell opening up mean the world could be filled with sexy Roth and his friends; then I would personally go down there and rip through those fiery bad boys.

The first part of this book made me want to throat punch Roth across the freaking universe and back down into the underworld. Well, I pretty much felt that about him the whole book but of course his hotness and steamy demon charm had me hating myself for loving him. Zayne definitely steps up his game and he had my heart aching at the end. THE ENDING. OMG THE ENDING. WHATEVER YOU THINK YOU MAY KNOW ABOUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN JUST GO AHEAD AND THROW IT ON THE FLOOR AND SET IT ON FIRE BECAUSE YOU ARE WRONG. I was blowing up Angela's phone as I was reading the last chapters because my head was about to explode. I'm not even ashamed to say tears were shed towards the end. Pretty much all the feels that are capable of being felt were felt at some point during this book. FREAKING AMAZING. Like Angela, I really loved how Stacey and Sam's friendship were included more in this book. Stacey is an awesome friend and I love her! I also really grew to love some of the other Wardens. Dez and Nicholai will always hold a special place in my heart forever now. I even hated Danika a little less in this book but I still didn't like her (NO I'M NOT JEALOUS OVER A FICTIONAL CHARACTER. WHATEVER). You also get a taste of more of the demon world which is pretty cool. Cayman also makes my list of favorite characters because he sounds awesome and is frequently the bomb during the book.

I'm still Team Roth FOREVER, but I wasn't mad about Zayne stepping up to side chick status in this book. I'm sure what happens between him and Layla will win over a lot of people and make them Team Zayne fans. I wavered a little during the middle, but my heart almost always belongs to the dark-side so I knew all along despite everything that happened and probably will happen next book that I love Roth. Roth officially enters the world of book boyfriends that is known as the Holy Grail of Book Boyfriends. It is an elite club featuring Daemon Black (Lux), Aaron Warner (Shatter Me), Noah Shaw (Mara Dyer), Edward Cullen (Twilight..haters gonna hate), Four aka Tobias (Divergent.. really it's just Theo James. I'm not ashamed to say that I worship at the alter of Theo James), and now Crown Prince Roth. This list reigns high above all the other book boyfriends and is sacred to us as fangirls. These dues have changed cookies and cheese puffs and all sorts of seeming innocent things into things you cannot think about without blushing. These dudes are the ones that just the thought of them makes you want to rip your clothes off and go running straight into the nearest icy lake or ocean.

I also cannot believe the ending of the next book will be decided on by a reader poll. IF ALL YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE IN THE INTERWEBZ DID NOT VOTE FOR ROTH THEN YOU'RE DEAD TO ME. Ok, not really dead to me but seriously if Layla doesn't end up with Roth at the end of the next book I may pull an Upper Level Demon move myself and rain fire and brimstone down on the earth.

Can I give this more than five stars? (According to Angela, YA books should be based out of ten stars, but what can I say I'm traditional) I'd give this 100 stars if I could. Seriously. Go buy now and lock yourself in a room because you're not going to come out until you're done with all 440 something pages.
